What Kind of Scripture Reader Are You?

Most of us consider reading the Bible to be a central practice that nourishes our life in the Spirit. Knowing how to read can tend to be a bit trickier. Some people swear by “daily quiet time”; others talk about the need for deep, well-textured study. Sometimes the pressure (and the options we’re faced with) leave us stuck and uncertain of where to begin.

On this page, you will find some resources that can help you find a practice of engaging with the Bible—and more importantly—the God behind the Bible, in rhythms that are regular but not restrictive. Explore each type and “try on” the different ways of interacting with scripture. You might find your time in the Word is refreshed and rejuvenated by a different rhythm.
