When you work with your attorney to design your estate plan, it is important to carefully identify your intended beneficiaries. Sometimes the common name for a person or organization is different from the legal name for that person or entity. Failure to use the correct legal name could cause that person or charity to not receive the gift you intended.
The legal name for Huntington First Church of the Nazarene is different than the name we all use. Therefore, if you will be making a gift to the HNAZ Endowment Fund through your will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance, etc. the language should be
“to the Endowment Fund of the First Church of the Nazarene of Huntington Indiana, currently located at 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, In 46750”.
The above reflects the legal corporate name of the church
