Advent can easily become a season in our lives that is so full we can’t imagine adding on more thing to our calendar.  But what if there is a different way to live during Advent.  This season we hope you will discover the true fullness of Advent by being hopeful, faithful, joyful and peaceful.  Join us for the next few weeks as we learn the true meaning of a Ful Advent.

Week 1 : Hopeful

IN: Prayer Tree

Take a prayer request.  Leave a prayer request.
There will be a Christmas tree in the foyer to leave and take requests.  We will continue to pray for one another in this way all season long.

Use one of our ideas or feel free to come up with your own.
  • Donate to a local non-profit. (books, food, etc.)
  • Thank a community servant. (1st responders, nurses, teachers, etc.)
  • Take your neighbor a treat.
  • Ring bells for Salvation Army.
  • Pay for the person behind you in line.

Week 2 : faithful

IN: Mail A Card

Remember those who have long been faithful servants and are living in long term care facilities.  You will find a list of addresses by clicking the provided link below or pick up a copy at the TouchPoint Centers.

OUT: McCammon's Food Drive

The McCammon family has been faithful in answering the call to serve God in Sierra Leone, Africa.  We want to be faithful to them and collect canned meat, canned vegetables, and granola bars to send to them.  These items can be dropped off in the bins in the foyer.

Week 3 : joyful

IN: Name Tag Sunday

Fill out a name tag in the foyer on Sunday, December 5th and introduce yourself to someone you haven’t met yet.

OUT: Christmas Eve Invite

Pick up invitations to our candlelit Christmas Eve service at the TouchPoint centers and invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join you for our Christmas Eve service at 7:00pm.

Week 4 : peaceful

IN: Christmas Cookies

Immediately following our morning worship service we will spend time together in the foyer enjoying Christmas cookies and milk with one another.  Fill out a Christmas name tag and meet someone new!

OUT: HNAZ Friends Counseling Scholarship Fund
