The Church Board

Board members are people of spiritual maturity who profess their faith in Christ and are bearing fruit in their lives as they walk in God’s grace.  To be on the board is to be in harmony with the doctrine and practices of the Church of the Nazarene, a person who is faithful in attendance, giving, and serving.

The church board exists to help keep us accountable to the vision and mission of the church.  It is a partnership with the pastoral staff to pursue God’s best for our church.  It is not a team that focuses only on details, but instead looks at the bigger picture.  Our board is made up of 3 teams:  stewards, finance, and building.  Stewards are the team that focuses mainly on mission and vision.  The finance team helps us to remain as faithful stewards, as a church.  The building team focuses on maintaining our facility with excellence.
Many individuals were nominated and those on the ballot are those who felt God leading them to accept the nomination.

Laura Zahm

Laura and her husband Rick have attended HNAZ for 14 years.  In her time here, she has overseen the Operation Christmas Child program, set up Communion, and served as a volunteer in the HNAZ Youth Group, Children's Ministry, and nursery on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.  Laura volunteers for VBS and also helps coordinate costumes and props for the Children's Christmas programs.  She volunteers at the downtown meal ministry and is frequently helping with miscellaneous projects around the church, including decorating for holidays and remodeling projects.  Laura enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

District Assembly

May 16, 2021

District Assembly takes place at the NEI District headquarters at Shiloh Park in Marion.  It is a great reminder that we are a part of something bigger than just our church on Flaxmill Road.  We are a part of a much larger body of believers who call the Nazarene Church their home.  At District Assembly, the delegates will have the opportunity to see the Northeast Indiana District in action and hear what God is doing across our state and around the world.  Delegates will also vote for district leadership and hear from pastors all across northeast Indiana.
Many individuals were nominated and those on the ballot are those who felt God leading them to accept the nomination.
